Since 1996, The Mine Experience has educated and inspired students and visitors from around the world on the importance of mining. The 1.4-acre Mine Experience includes a Visitor Center and a hands-on interactive Nevada history experience where visitors can pan for gold, experiment with rocks and minerals, learn about the mining industry, and tour the grounds where artifacts of the past are displayed. Similar to the Indiana Jones Ride at Disneyland, the 5,100 square foot realistic model of a historic underground mine is the only simulated underground mine of its kind in the state.

Increased attendance at The Hidden Gem Gala.

This hidden gem of an experience in Henderson, Nevada is no longer a secret! We developed a public relations and social media strategy that promoted the organization’s effort to bring educational S.T.E.M. opportunities to children through The Hidden Gem Gala fundraiser. With broad community involvement, major television network coverage, and support from Congresswoman Dina Titus, over 100 attendees celebrated the rich mining history and education that The Mine Experience brings to Nevada.
